With reference to the telegram which Your
Excellency sent to the War Office on the subject of the
application of the Defence of the Realm Act to this
Colony, I shall be obliged if you will furnish me officially
with a copy of that telegram and with a reply to my letter
of the 7th instant, in order that I may address the
Secretary of State for the Colonies on the subject.
